Clipman Privacy Policy

Summary

Clipman does not require an account and does not contain advertising, tracking, or developer analytics. Clipboard history is stored on your device by default. Optional synchronization and backup features send data only to a location that you choose.

Clipboard History

Clipman stores clipboard history locally on your device. This history can include text, links, formatting, and images that you deliberately add or allow Clipman to receive. Clipman does not send this history to Andre Louis or to an advertising or analytics service.

You can delete individual entries, clear history, or remove the app and its local data using the normal controls provided by Clipman and iOS.

Optional Clipman Server

You may connect Clipman to a self-hosted Clipman Server. This is optional and must be configured by you. Clipboard history is encrypted on your device using your history password before it is uploaded. The server stores an encrypted database and cannot derive the history password or decrypt its contents.

The operator of the server you choose may receive normal network information such as your IP address and request times. Its retention and access policies are controlled by that server operator. Clipman Server access tokens and history passwords are stored using the device's protected credential storage.

Optional Backups

If you enable history backup, Clipman writes an encrypted history file to the iCloud Drive or document-provider folder that you select. That provider processes the file under its own terms and privacy policy. Backups do not contain Clipman Server access tokens or saved settings.

Website Titles And External Links

When you explicitly choose Use Website Title as Name, Clipman contacts that public website to obtain its title. The website may receive your IP address and normal request information. Clipman does not fetch titles automatically or in bulk and refuses destinations that appear private or sensitive.

Links that you choose to open, the online manual, the project page, and support pages open using the normal system browser.

Purchases

Optional one-time tips are processed by Apple through the App Store. Clipman does not receive or store your payment-card details. Tips do not unlock features, content, or services.

Diagnostics And Feedback

Clipman does not include a third-party crash-reporting or analytics service. Apple may provide diagnostic information when you have chosen to share it through iOS or TestFlight. If you contact support or submit an issue, the information you choose to provide is used to respond to that request.

Children

Clipman is a general-purpose productivity tool. It is not directed at children and does not knowingly collect personal information from children.

Changes

This policy may be updated when Clipman's behaviour or legal requirements change. The effective date above identifies the current version.
